The design of "DAWN TO DUSK" is not just a showcase of the music itself but focuses on building a world that allows the audience to be fully immersed.The album design doesn't adhere exclusively to Western tastes influenced by 24kGoldn's melodic compositions, nor does it follow the conventional path of Chinese cultural influences promoted by Zhang Yixing (Lay). Instead, it finds a "common ground" between the two artists' individual styles, reflecting the concepts strongly embedded in their music in the design.
"Dawn to Dusk" — from sunrise to sunset, 24kGoldn introduces the main song with a guitar, gradually layering on other instrumental tones. The groove strengthens progressively, and simultaneously, the outer packaging of the album begins with the imagery of dawn, using soft and warm tones to depict the emergence of dawn light. Opening the outer cover, side A of the disc sleeve reveals the tranquility of dusk, cleverly foreshadowing the calmness of the night with dim lighting. As the drumbeats lead to the bassline, the rhythm intensifies, taking on the "protagonist" role and evoking the exotic gleam of UK Pop.Approaching the end of the music, the psychedelic tones of the virtual synthesizer emerge, painting the entire track as if guiding the listener from the faint dawn halo, soaring through the sun-blinding noon, and descending into the warm evening glow. On the other hand, side B of the disc sleeve showcases a bright sunrise, completing the cyclical story of the world.
From the gentle dawn to the tranquil dusk, the two sets of album covers, representing different contexts, echo each other in both auditory and visual aspects. Every design detail has been meticulously planned, from music to design, collectively aiming to evoke a profound reflection on the passage of time in the audience.

《DAWN TO DUSK》的设计不只是展示了音乐本身,而专注于构建一个可以让听众完全沉浸的世界。专辑设计并没有因为24kGoldn的旋律创作而全盘西欧口味,也没有因为张艺兴力推的中华音乐文化而走上常见的国风路数,反而取二位个性色彩中的“公约数”,将二人各自身上强烈渗透进的音乐中的理念映射在设计当中。
《Dawn to Dusk》——从黎明到黄昏,24kGoldn以吉他引入主歌,随后再一点点镀上其他器乐的音色层次,Groove 渐次加强,与此同时,专辑的外层包装以黎明的景象开篇,运用柔和且温暖的色调绘出晨光的初现。展开外封套,碟套A面透露出黄昏时的宁静,以昏暗的光线巧妙地预示夜晚的平和。随着鼓点引导出Bassline,节奏感渐入佳境后,引领起“主角”地位,泛起 UK Pop 的异域光泽。临近音乐结尾,虚拟合成器的迷幻音色显色,全曲犹如带领听者从光晕微显的黎明,飞越阳光刺眼的正午,又降落在夕阳和煦的黄昏。而碟套B面则展现了明亮的日出,完美补全了这个关于世界循环往复的故事。
从黎明的温柔到黄昏的宁静,两套不同语境的封套图,从听觉到视觉,交相呼应,每个设计细节都经过了精心策划,从音乐到设计,共同致力于唤起听众对时间流逝的深刻反思。
